Position Overview

The Billing Lead is responsible for working directly with the Billing Manager for daily invoicing and credit processing as well as, participating in meetings to adapt processes necessary to meet new services for customers. Assist the Manager in the review and processing of payments and refunds for the UPS freight bills. The Lead is also responsible for identifying issues either from Customer Service or Shipping, bringing them to the Manager while working with other departments to resolve problems.

Responsibilities:

  • Daily review and invoicing of previous days shipments in a timely and accurate manner
  • Review and process credit memos issued by Customer Service and the Returns Department
  • Assist the Biller as needed to process the invoices and credits properly
  • Communicate via email, phone and in person with IT, Payables, Credit and Collections, Customer Service, Packing and Shipping Departments to finalize invoicing
  • Understanding and ability to process all Canadian / Foreign Exchange invoices
  • Ability to post daily billing and credit transactions for integration into the SAGE GL system.
  • Communicate to management the daily billing results and or other notifications
  • Assist the Manager in developing and processing summary reports as needed by customers, these reports are sent out weekly, semi-monthly and monthly
  • Assist the Manager in uploading customer invoices into customer portals
  • Work with the IT Department in customer reconciliations for uploads
Qualifications:
  • Associates in Accounting
  • 3 or more years of Billing experience in a manufacturing/inventory environment
  • Good communication /organization skills


REQUIREMENTS:
  • Supervisory Experience
  • Proficient Computer skills: Microsoft Suite (Outlook, Excel, Word)
  • General Understanding of downloads, uploads and customer portals
  • Credit and Collection Experience
